Washington DC area activities for moms, kids and the whole family!
Come have fun with us now! Join our group today!
Fun N Hip Mommies
started back in February 07. After months of joining & unsubscribing myself from
various local and national moms groups, I decided that what I was looking for
just wasn't here.
I wanted to meet lots of fun women, be able to attend events that would fit my
schedule, not one event per month, nor at the exact same place every time. I
didn't want to go to play dates in Chic-fil-a, nor hang out for a few hours in
the basement of some church & I had no interest on "online chatting".
I also thought it was rather pricey to pay
Baby Boot Camp,
$70 a month - to walk around the lake, and grab a coffee afterwards, especially
when I already had a gym membership.
Fun N Hip Mommies is here to help you make new friends, spend time
outside, exercise with a few buddies, explore new places, and create stimulating
activities for little minds! We are bringing together the best
events Maryland, DC & Virginia has to offer moms & kids & creating our own!
Are you a fun mommy who needs a change of scenery? Are you looking for something unique, energetic and upbeat? Please - look no further! We're intelligent, witty, and not afraid to hop in our car & check out a new playground, restaurant, or local event in the Washington DC metro area! We are friendly, laid back, fun 'n' hip, and highly addicting!
View all our moms by photo, or location. View a calendar that has multiple events DAILY which we handpick, create, and attend. Come to one event for free, meet with an organizer & start developing some new friendships.

I'm producing a cooking show for television called "Capital Cooking." We are filming an episode on April 13 on "Cooking for Kids" at the studio in Fairfax. I'm wondering if any mothers would be interested in coming on the show to do a brief interview about fun activities to do with the kids in DC or if you have any great recipes for kids that you'd like to share. If you are interested, please email me at capitalcooking@gmail.com
Thanks, Lauren
